THE MORNING OF JUNE 23, 2009, MANSUR SCOTT, THE GIOT "HOLY MAN" OF LENOX AVE. CALLED ME, AND TOLD ME TWO OF HIS FRIENDS WHERE COMING INTO NEW YORK FROM NORTH CAROLINA FOR THE QUILTING EXHIBIT AT THE AMERICAN MUSEUM OF FOLK ART IN NYC.

HIS FRIEND WIFE WAS ONE OF THE QUILTER IN THE EXHIBIT, I WILL ADD DETAILS LATER. MANSUR TOLD ME THE OPENING WAS THAT EVENING. THIS WAS AN EVENT I NEEDED TO ATTEND.

THIS IS A EXCITING TRAVELING EXHIBIT

TWO OF THE QUILTERS IN FRONT OF A QUILT HONORING NINA SIMONE IN THE BACKGROUND.

THE NETWORKING AMONG THE ARTIST AND QUEST.

TWON OF MY DEAR FRIENDS FROM BACK IN THE DAY WHEN I WAS A ART STUDENT AT PRATT INSTITUTE. DAPHNE MC KINGHT SITTING WITH SHORT HAIR AND SANDI BENGERMAN, STANDING.

SANDI IS SOON TO RETIRE FROM PRATT AND BECOMING A FULL TIME QUILTER IN NORTH CAROLINA. I HAVE A GREAT SANDI STORY.

VERY INTERESTING COUPLE WITH A GREAT LOOK, I FELT WE WOULD HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON.

BESIDES BEING LOVERS OF THRIFT STORES, HE IS A CROCHETER. HE PULLED THIS AMAZING PIECE OUT OF HIS BAG.

THE CUTEST MOTHER AND DAUGHTER AT THE EXHIBIT, I THINK THEY ARE FROM WASHINGTON DC, THE DAUGHTER IS IN NEW YORK TO GO TO ALVIN AILEY FOR THE SUMMER... IN A MAD RUSH... I WILL GET BACK TO ALL THE DETAILS SOON.
